    A total of 16 4-H members participated in the 4-H Livestock and eleven members participating in the Miscellaneous Judging on Sunday, October 22, at the Pavilion in Malta. Youth judged livestock classes of replacement heifers (provided by Hinman Angus), feeder lambs (Marko Manoukian), Wool (MSU), steers (Paul Mortenson), market swine (Marcus and Kendra Green) and Vet tools (Rick and Rebel Levesque).     The Phillips County 4-H Shooting Sports held their annual pizza and awards ceremony on April 23rd at Stretch’s Banquet Room. There were 53 youth that participated in the program this year for a total of 76 disciplines. The youth shot for 8 weeks on the county level in archery, air rifle and air pistol disciplines. There were 29 youth that participated in the 3P (prone, standing and kneeling) air rifle.   • 4-H Demonstration Day held in Malta

    The annual Phillips County 4-H Demonstration Day was held in the Malta Library basement on Wednesday, January 22, 2017. There were five 4-H youths who participated in a demonstration or an illustrated talk. Senior members Parker and Pierce Mortenson gave a demonstration on "DIY Dog Items". They received a blue ribbon and the overall plaque sponsored by Phillips County Title Company.   • Malta Athletic Club donates money to PC 4-H Shooting Sports Program

    Malta Athletic Club President, Danny Paul Shores presented Phillips County 4-H Shooting Sports President, Marty Lundstrom with a check in the amount of $1,800. This financial donation will be used to purchase three Daisy 887 air rifles, two CO2 canisters for air rifles and one Daisy 747 air pistol.
