    The North Country Mavericks picked up a pair of conference wins this weekend as they defeated both Lustre and Frazer. The Mavs traveled to Lustre to defeat the Lustre Christian Lions 57-43 on Friday, January 12. North Country had three scorers put up double digits, including Trace Simonson who had a game-leading 20 points, while knocking down five treys.     The Dodson Coyotes picked up a pair of wins this past weekend over Frazer and Lustre, putting them in third place in 3C basketball. "These wins were big but we have got a long season ahead," Coyotes Head Coach Frank Benson told the PCN. "They were good wins but we are just halfway done with our conference schedule."     The Malta M-ettes were able to pick up their first win of the season, as they defeated Glasgow in Glasgow on Friday, January 12. Malta lost a close one to Shelby on Saturday, January 13 in Malta.     The Malta/Whitewater Mustangs Wrestling team hit a major milestone in the 2018 season, winning the Choteau Classic, a two-day event that started on Friday, January 12 and ended on Saturday, January 13. Thirty-one Class B and C teams converged in the Choteau High School for an event many measure up to the annual State B/C Wrestling Tournament held in Billings.
