    Old Highway 2 will be getting roadway improvements, from the junction with Highway 2 to the Bowdoin National Wildlife Refuge.     Sympathy is extended to the Arabelle McMullen family. All nine kids made it home to say farewell. Many north country folks were in town for the funeral.     At an assembly on Thursday, May 28th, academic awards were presented to 39 Malta Elementary School students. These awards are the BUG awards, a program sponsored by the Malta Kiwanis Club to encourage 4th and 5th grade students to Bring Up Grades.     On Thursday afternoon members of the Malta City Works team -- with the assistance of a 80-ton crane provided by Bill Balthruasch Construction out of Havre -- installed a new rest room at Veteran's Memorial Park in Malta.
