One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News for the Week of June 30, 2014

There was a birthday party for Debbie Hammond and Kiane Engels at North 40 and it was well attended.

Linda Berg’s family have been here. They are Chondie Kornfeld, Ben Gous, Laura Kornfeld, Hector and Jane Cherpin, Dale Laternus, Trevor and Lindell and Hudson Gateley and Carley Laternus, all of Canada.

Those at North 40 watched the East-West Shrine football game on TV. We heard that Allie Olson was a referee there, way to go, Allie! One of the players had one leg, that is real courage. A King from Malta was one of the players also.

The air smells like smoke as smoke is drifting in clear from fires in Canada. We hope the fires will soon be out.

My daughters’ birthdays are both in July. Teresa’s is July 9 and Gale’s is July 22. They are getting old, but I’m not!

Reminder: Phillips County Fair is around the corner. Get your entries ready, you won’t win prizes if you don’t enter.

News flash: my well is drilled and we struck Water in Whitewater! Eaton Drilling out of Hinsdale did the job. We went down 40 feet to get cool, clear water. Remember that song? Now I have to get it piped in the house, etc. If you have water, Count your Blessings, and have a glass of water!
