Local news: Malta was infested Monday for a short time with a bunch of gypsies. They were around begging and telling fortunes until ordered to beat it by the marshal. They are about as good a bunch of people as ever hit the state and the move-along card should always be out on them.

Local news: The city schools will open the first week in September with the same teachers we had last year.
