One Nation, Under God

Loring News for week of September 3, 2014

As August draws to a close, we look forward to what September will bring.

August delivered way more rain than ever before. In fact, our rain gauge ran over so all I know is we got more than 5 inches. The rain was harmful to the crops that were still in the field, but certainly was beneficial for the ground water, and filled all the ponds!

Jane Ereaux, Sue Frary, Sharon Icenogle and Dixie Stordahl traveled to Ft Peck to the theater last weekend. It was wonderful, Rodgers and Hammerstien songs.

On Friday Lulu Besel, Anna Faye Simms and Dixie Stordahl traveled to the Little Rockies. They had lunch at Zortman, went to the Landusky Cemetery, and then shared Carol Williams’ birthday with her. I was wondering if we would see anyone we knew and immediately ran into Curt Reichelt, Ray and Ann Harms, and the whole Soiseth family!

Kenny and Brenda Clark took in the Ft Peck theater on Saturday evening. The Clark children stayed at Tracy Hanley’s in Whitewater.

I heard that there was hail at the Watkins place, west of Loring, and over by Saco the other day. I hope that not too much crop was hurt!

Get mended wishes sent out to Cindy Clark. She broke her ankle yesterday.

Have a great month.
