Starting in November we will be celebrating the birthdays of those born in the current month. The date will be announced in this menu. We will draw for a 10 meal ticket prize - you must attend the birthday celebration dinner to be eligible

PC 4-H Shooting sign-ups

The PC 4-H Shooting sports sign-ups are open and will continue until November 3. Youth must be 9-years-old as of October 1, 2014 to participate in archery or air rifle and 12-years-old for pistol. Malta youth contact Kay Harms at 658-2210 to sign up. Saco youth are to contact Eugene Salveson at 527-7104 for air rifle or pistol only. Saco youth wanting to participate in archery will need to travel to Malta to do so. The season will begin on Sunday, November 30 and all forms and fees must be paid prior to the youth shooting.

Cub Scout Pack 432 recruiting

10-23. Cub Scout Pack 432 will host a recruitement for potential cub scouts, boys ages 6-9, Thursday, October 23, 3:15 p.m. at the elementary cafeteria.

If your son has expressed interest in becoming a cub scout, it would be helpful if you as a parent or guardian, attended the recruitment.

Landusky Foundation

10-25. The Landusky Foundation is sponsoring their Annual Fall Fundraiser on Saturday, October 25 at 5 p.m. There will be a hearty beef stew with all the trimmings and there will be drawings, Live and Silent Auctions and a bake sale. GFU Argos Wrestling

10-25. The University of Great Falls Argos will be holding an inner squad dual Saturday, October 25 at Malta High School at 7 p.m.

Malta H.S. Band/Choir Concert

10-28. The Malta High School Band and Choir Fall Halloween Concert will be held on Tuesday, October 28 at 7 p.m. at the high school auditorium.

Malta Parent-Teacher Conferences

10-29. Parent-Teacher Conferences are Wednesday, October 29 for Malta High and Middle School. There will be no school for students on the day. Conferences for Middle School are from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. and noon until 4 p.m. No scheduled appointment is necessary. Parents please pick up student report cards at the offices.

Malta Food Drive

10-29. The Annual Church Youth Group Food Drive for the Malta Food Bank will be Wednesday, October 29. The youth groups will be going door to door starting at 4 p.m. in some areas. The groups will be collecting from the same areas as last year. Adult volunteers will weigh and sort the food at the Malta Food Bank after collection. Maps will be available by October 23.

American Legion Meeting

11-4. The American Legion Meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 4 at 7 p.m. at the Malta VFW Club.

Alpha Zeta Specialty Fair

11-4. The Alpha Zeta Specialty Fair will be on Saturday, November 1 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Malta City Hall. For more information, call Mardy at 390-5693.

An afternoon at the Museum

11-4. The Phillips County Museum and Historical Society presents An Afternoon at the Museum “Dating Fabric in Antique Quilts” by Sandy Baker on Tuesday, November 4 at 2 p.m. Presentation is free to the public.
