Area students to perform Little Mermaid this week

Audiences of all ages will get a fresh look at an age-old favorite this Friday, January 16 and Saturday, January 17 when the 23rd Annual Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) and more than 50 local students present The Little Mermaid. The local cast features Erika Nagy as the Little Mermaid, Celia. Also featured are her three sisters, Delia, Amelia and Ophelia who will be played by Isabel Wright, Amber Hofer and Carrieann Hofer. Gil, the Merboy next door will be played by Turk Salsbery and the country singin' Starfish will be played by Kaycee Bond. The Royal family includes Kevin Missildine as the Prince, Eion Estill as the King and Gabrielle Giblette as the Queen. The snoopy Seasiders will be played by Grace Anderson, Madyson Bain, Jaidyn Campuzano, Grace Carman, Brylee French, Isabelle Hallenberg, Trinity Henry, Kyle Johannesen, Giona Lamb, Amber Pearson, Tia Siewing, Kanyon Stiles, Madyson Warburton, Lavida White and Caroline Wright.

To complete the ensemble, Gavin Benge, Charli Carnahan, Emauni Johannesen, Taylin Johannesen, Carson Ottinger, Gabriella Rich, Hunter Stolem and Lena Tremblay will appear as the poetic Town Criers, the dynamic Sea Scouts include Kailey Crowder, McKayla Foster, Corrine Hofer, Justine Lamb, Justice Miller, Nikki Nicholson, David Pitman, Lane Thompson, Makiya Wilke and Porter Wright and the galloping Seahorses will be played by Aeowyn Austin, John Biddix, Kylie Bishop, Emma Lee Ereaux, Christian Hofer, Mathew Hunter, Brooklynn Knowles, Averee Matthews, Rylee Matthews, Layla Messerly, James Pearson, Brittney Sorlie, Trooper Stiles, Tillianne Werk, Dominic Wiese and Danika Wilke. Sage Miller have served as Assistant Directors throughout the week.

The Little Mermaid will be presented at 6:30 p.m., Friday, January 16th and 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 17th at the Malta High School Auditorium. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students K-12, preschool students are free when accompanied by a paying adult at the door.
