Local News:

The electric light plant went on the blink for a short time Friday night and it was then for the first time that the people of Malta fully realized just how handy the electric lights were.

Shady and LeVesconte, who have the agency for the Ford this season in Malta, received their first carload of machines yesterday and are busy unloading them. The Ford is a very popular little machine and this firm will undoubtedly do a big business for them this season.

Harness maker Koke has installed about every kind of a machine that will help in the repair work of either harness or shoes and is now making arrangements to run the outfit with a gasoline engine. His latest machine, a sole stitcher, was broken in shipment and is out of commission until the necessary repairs can be secured. He will soon get the entire outfit line up however.
