American Legion Poppies

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit #57 will be distributing poppies in the downtown Malta area during the month of May. Auxiliary poppies are an important fundraiser toward the shared mission of helping veterans and their families. Please support our veterans by donating and wearing your poppy proudly.

Little Rockies Baptist

Sundays. Little Rockies Baptist Church has Adult Sunday School Class 9:30-10:30 a.m. and Sunday Worship 10:30 a.m. Questions call 673-3737.

Malta Schools Play

5-6 &7. Malta Middle / High School Spring Play presents “The Sneaky Citizens of Saddle-sore City” Wednesday, May 6 and Thursday, May 7 at 7 p.m. at MHS Auditorium. Play tickets are $7 adults and $5 students.

Malta Trails Meeting

5-6. The Malta Trails Meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 6 starting at 6 p.m. in Stretch’s Casino Room.

Special Olympics Torch Run

5-7. The Special Olympics Torch Run will be held on Thursday, May 7. The Starting point will be at the Carquest in Malta at 8 a.m. Contact Kevin Hunter at 406-480-2779 for more information.

American Legion Auxiliary Meeting

5-7. The American Legion Auxilary Unit #57 – Malta – will hold their regular monthy meeting on Thursday, May 7 at the VFW Club starting at 5 p.m. Plans for the Memorial Day parade and BBQ will be final-ized. Everyone is welcome.

MCPA Meeting

5-7. Montana Community Preservation Alliance (MCPA) work meeting Thursday, May 7th at 5:30 at the library basement. Topics will include Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and Bison Draft EIS that may include the CMR.

Hi-Line Wool Pool

5-9. The Hi-Line Wool Pool will be collecting wool on May 9, 2015 from 7 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Malta City Shop, located south of Malta. Questions about delivery or preparation requirements, please contact Marko Manoukian, Phillips County Extension Agent at 406-654-2543 prior to May 7, 2015. All new producers are welcome.

Dirt Daubers Potluck/Bulb Auction

5-11. Malta Dirt Daubers will meet on Monday, May 11 at 5:30 p.m. at the home of Toni Ziegler, 223 Ruby. Following the potluck supper there will be a plant and bulb auction. The public is welcome. This is a great time to buy bulbs, plants, and cuttings for your garden. Bring a friend or two for the fun time.

Cub Scout Den Leader Meeting

5-11. Pack 432, Cub Scouts, will have a parent and den leader meeting, Monday, May 11 at 6:30 at Malta Elementary Cafeteria. The 2015 Cub Scout changes will be explained by Cubmas-ter Layton at this time. Please make every effort to attend.

Retired Teachers Meeting

5-11. The Northeast Montana Retired Teachers/Educators will meet at the Children's Museum in Glasgow at 11a.m. on Monday, May 11, New time and place! Lunch somewhere follows the tour. Dues are due.

Cattlewomen’s Meeting and Potluck

5-12. The Cattlewomen’s meeting has been moved to Tuesday, May 12 Trafton Park 5:30 at the Big Shelter. There will be a potluck and the election of officers.

Malta School Building Committee Meeting

5-12. On Tuesday, May 12, The Malta School District will be holding a Building Committee Meeting starting at 5 p.m. in the Board Room.

Malta School Transportation Committee Meeting

5.-12. On Tuesday, May 12, The Malta School District will be holding a Transportation Committee Meeting starting at 6 p.m. in the Board Room.

P.C. Historical Society Meeting

5-14. Phillips County Historical Society's regular monthly meeting is scheduled for May 14, 7 p.m. @ the Phillips County Museum. Everyone Welcome!

Montana Veterans Affairs

5.21. Service Officers for the Montana Veterans Affairs will be visiting with Veterans who are interested in applying for benefits in Malta at the Phillips County Hospital Conference Room on Thursday, May 21 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. If you are interested in applying for benefits, please bring a copy of your discharge paperwork (DD214) with you.
