One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News for the Week of September 23, 2015

News flash! We are all sad to hear that North 40 in Whitewater is closing. This means that the Senior Citizen lunches will no longer be available anymore either. We enjoyed the lunches. It is closing due to a lack of employees. Part of it was for sale, but there were no buyers. If interested call Gary and Barb Anderson, or if you are interested in managing it, this could be possible as well. Hope the North 40 is open again soon.

Get well wishes to Pastor Steve Hagg, forme r Whitewater resident, who broke both of his legs when he fell off a roof! He is the pastor of the Hi-Line Apostolic Church of Malta.

Bruce and Lynn Hill of Whitewater have been helping Sue Haag take care of DeAndre and Steve.

Congratulations to the Hills on their new foster child. They now have two foster children.

Congratulations to Carlie and Guy Simanton on their wedding. The service was outdoors on a beautiful day. Reception with supper and dancing followed at the Sleeping Buffalo Barn and it was well attended.

Whitewater Lutheran Church plans to help the victims of the hurricanes in the Dominique. Jeff and Althea Murdock are in Dominique serving the people. If you wish to help, call the church or Pat and Jim Murdock.

Johnathon and Seth Siewing had a piano recital at the Hi-Line Retirement Center, which I attended. The boys played well and then Mr. Anderson played beautiful violin music accompanied by Mr. Rhodes on guitar and his daughter on violin. Then, Leona served a nice lunch.

Weather is chilly and the sky is dark with sprinkles of rain today. Hope it does not hinder farming and ranching work.

Pastor Nagy is having a Bible Class on Tuesday evenings for the next several weeks at Whitewater Lutheran. Everyone is welcome.

Whitewater Baptist Church has Boys and Girls Club Wednesdays after school at the Wisher’s house across from the school. All children are welcome.

School is in full swing and so are sports. Good luck to all. I think I will have a cup of tea instead of writing about sports.
