Museum's Christmas Social on Dec. 3

The Phillips County Museum and Phillips County Historical Society will host their annual Christmas Social at the museum on Thursday, December 3 starting at 6:30 p.m.

There will be refreshments and hour d'oeuvres served as well as live entertainment. The Mini Tree Live Auction will begin at 7:30 p.m. with 12 trees on the auction block – including trees decorated by Whitewater Lutheran Church, Ava Ginter and the Rough Riders 4-H Club.

During the silent auction, which ends at 7:15 p.m., there will be nine items to bid upon including Nellie Ereaux's Shimmering Pines table centerpiece and the Warm and Wooly Santa wall hanging. Silent auction bids can be made at the museum from now until the night of the event.

There will also be a bucket raffle the night of the event and people will have a chance to win four items including table runners created by the Malta Irrigation District and Sheila Walsh.

The beautifully decorated and donated trees, wreaths, wall hangings and centerpieces were made by county organizations, businesses and individuals. They are currently on display at the Phillips County Museum.
