PUBLIC NOTICE FOR REFERENDUM ON PROPOSED BISON ORDINANCE 2016-1

Notice is given pursuant to 76-15-701 and -702, MCA, that the Phillips Conservation District supervisors will take action on their intent to order a referendum on proposed ordinance number 2016-1 for protection of water and soil from wild, free roaming or domestic bison grazing in Phillips Conservation District. The supervisors will take action whether to order a referendum at its meeting to be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at the USDA Building Conference Room. The supervisors will consider final adoption of the ordinance after reviewing the result of the referendum.

The City of Malta will be accepting bids for the lease of city owned properties for grazing and pasturage. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, marked “lease bid”. All bids must be received in the city office by 4 p.m. February 23, 2016. All leases will begin January 1, 2016 and terminate December 31, 2016. Leases 1, 2, 3, 4 have a $100.00 minimum bid and

lease 5 has a $50.00 minimum bid.
