One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News for August 3, 2016

“Welcome home” to Ike Hellie who is back from Hi-Line.

Happy birthday to Pat Murdock who had a party at North 40 on Sunday. It was well attended and we enjoyed cake and ice cream. Janet Murdock, Judy and Cliff Rustad and Diann Leibel were among the guests at the party.

Late congratulations to Marrissa Green Wahl on winning at the Jean Green Golf Tournament.

Congratulations to Tova Anderson and sister who won a signing award at the Milk River talent Contest. Great!

Gale and Challise (my daughter and granddaughter) were here. We ate at the North 40 to celebrate Gale’s birthday Challise spent the night with me. Then I “cornered her” and she played piano and sang for me; so talented.

Congratulations to Erika Nagy (Pastor Bob’s youngest girl) and Jeremiah LaBrie on their Swim Team meet awards. Great!

Lu Bessell worked at the museum recently.

Bon voyage to Becky Anderson and Jessica (daughter) who went to Poland with the Catholic Church to see the Pope. Chris DePuydt of Saco went also. Hope they return safely.

I’s been watching the Democratic Convention on TV. Michelle Obama was awesome and congratulations to Hillary Clinton for being the first woman to be nominated for president! What an accomplishment.

Hope to see you all at the Phillips County Fair.

Note: The North 40 Café will be closed over fair weekend (Fri, Sat and Sun.) Another note, The Phillips Transit busses make trips to the fair and rides are free. Enjoy the fair (see schedules on page 8A this week.)
