Whist

8-16. On Tuesday, August 16, Roy Baeth took first place with 54 points, Malcolm Clouse was second with 47 and the traveling price was awarded to Byron Ereaux.

Pinochle

8-18. On Thursday, August 18, Harvey Smith took first place with a score of 6,690 and Nancy Soennichsen was second with 6,350. The traveling prize was awarded to both Sharon Ehman and Marlin Orahood.

Hi-Line Whist

8-16. On Tuesday, August 16, Clara and Pearl defeated Mark and Gloria in both games, 13-9 and 16-9.

“A very long game it was,” Pearl reports.

8-19. On Friday, August 19, Clara and Mary swept the whist action defeating Agnes and Pearl 14-12 and 13-0.

“We got skunked,” Pearl said. “And boy, did it smell!”

8-23. Curt and Pearl defeated Gloria and Clara in two straight, 14-7 and 14-7, to sweep the day's action.

8-26. Clara and Agnes got the best of Pearl and Curt, winning four games on the day, 13-12,15-1, Skunk-Grandslam and 15-12.

Malta Duplicate Bridge

Wednesday, August 17 saw Les Solberg and Byron Ereaux capture first place. Second was awarded to Malcolm Clouse and Lois Goodheart.

Monday (Aug. 22) saw Nellie Ereaux and Byron Ereaux tie with Bonnie Millar and Margo Rush for first place.
