Food Bank Angel Program

The Malta Food Bank has applications for this year’s Angel Program. The program is for children 18 and younger only. Clothing and shoes will be purchased by the Angel Program for those in need, and toys will not be eligible items. Completed applications must be turned in no later than Tuesday, November 22. Donation cans, should you want to help by donating cash, will start showing up in local businesses soon. And we plan to have the Angel Tree, with gifts desired, on display starting November 25th if you would like to shop for an Angel.

Town Pump Charitable Foundation

Through 11-30. The Town Pump Charitable Foundation will again match $ for $ up to $1,000 collected. All the funds raised including the matching funds will stay in Malta. Donations may be sent to Malta Food Bank, PO Box 925, Malta, 59538. Help us meet our goal of $2,000.

Intro to QuickBooks

11-3, 11-10 & 11-17. A free, three-part series of classes entitled Intro to QuickBooks will be held in the Phillips County Library Conference Room starting on Thursday, November 3 and continuing on November 10 and 17. Plant cropland and perennial vegetation /technical, financial assistance

There is technical and possible financial assistance available to plant cropland to perennial vegetation. If you are interested please stop by or contact the Malta Natural Resources Conservation Service office at 654-1334 by October 31.

Westside/Kid Curry Food Drive

October. Westside/Kid Curry Casino’s accepting non-perishable food items for the Food Bank the month of October with $5/5 machine play. Sign up to win a 2017 Marion Hills Golf Course single membership or a Samsung Galaxy Tablet. Drawing held November 1.

HLRC Annual Board Meeting

10-27. The Hi-Line Retirement Center will hold their annual meeting Thursday, October 27 at First State Bank of Malta's upstairs conference room starting at 7 p.m.

Blood Screening Saco

10-27. Annual Health Fair blood screening in Saco IOOF Hall from 7 a.m. until 9 a.m. Flu shots will be available.

Blood Screening Malta

10-28. Annual Health Fair blood screening at the Malta Little White Church from 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Flu shots will be available.

MHS Band & Choir Concert

11-1. The Malta High School Band and Choir Concert will be Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. in the Malta High School Auditorium. All are welcome! Come and enjoy!

Senior Autumn Soup Dinner

10-29. Malta Senior Citizens Autumn Soup and Bread dinner, Saturday, October 29 at the center, 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. PC Transit will provide free rides-call 654-5301. Free will offering goes towards kitchen remodeling.

Malta Kiwanis

11-1. The Malta Kiwanis will meet on Tuesday, November 1 at 6 p.m. at Westside Café. We help the kids. New members always welcome.

Landusky Annual Harvest Fundraiser

11-5. On Saturday, November 5, everyone is invited to the Landusky Harvest Fundraiser. The action starts at 5 p.m. with a free will donation dinner, drawings, auctions, a pie contest and a bake sale. Come join us for a fun filled evening.

Festival of Trees deadline

MT Veteran Affairs

11-10. On Thursday, November 10, Judy or Steve, service officers for Montana Veteran Affairs, will be at Malta City Hall from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. If you would like to apply for benefits with the VA please come at the appointed time and bring a copy of your discharge/separation (DD214) papers with you.
