One Nation, Under God

Loring News for June 7, 2017

Oops, I made a mistake last week, the Wine and Dino is on the 16th, and the Loring picnic is on June 23! Sorry if I inconvenienced you!

Dixie Stordahl helped out at the GPDM on Saturday for Kids Day! Bella Lawless, Serena Sanguins, Adrianna Bibeau and Alex were volunteer students to help with the stations! We had a great time with about 70 people!

The summertime is a perfect time to renew old friendships. I have had a great renewal with my childhood friend, Frances Compton, of Douglas, Alaska! She brought her granddaughter, Brooke, to experience the farm way with her cousin, Gene Compton. They branded, rode horses, checked the fence and moved bulls! I totally enjoyed our visit on Sunday afternoon!

Carol Lumsden and John Flansaas flew to California this week to spend some time with John's brother, Glenn.

Happy birthday to a former colleague of mine, Dorothy Johnson, who lives in Chinook now! She had a party on Sunday.

Healing prayers to Brenda Kornfeld after her branding accident. She did report that her youngest son Colt earned a trip to Nationals in Wyoming and Canadians in Alberta. He will compete in team roping and calf roping! Way to go, Colt!

I'm always surprised when I see a flit of color in my trees! Today I saw my Oriole and it was such a bright orange! Need to replenish my grape jelly! Also this week I saw a bluebird! It was the morning after the huge wind, so am thinking it got blown off course! Hope it sticks around!

We are getting high temps for this time of year, 90 or above, and it is really getting parched. We need rain. I know it will come.
