Whist

8-5. On Tuesday, August 8, Nancy Soennichsen scored 74 points for a first place finish. Nina Jones' 46 points earned her second place and the traveling prize was awarded to Malcolm Clouse.

8-15. On Tuesday, August 15, Lou Olson eked out a first place finish with a score of 47, three better than Clarence Jacobson's second place score of 44. The traveling prize on the day was awarded to Ken Ruzicka.

Pinochle

8-10. On Thursday, August 10, Nina Jones scored a game high 6,240 to claim the day's victory (Nina and Ron Ludman also earned 1,500 Trump.) Clarence Jacobson scored 6,180 which earned him second place. The traveling prize was awarded to both Noel and Sharon Emond.

8.17. On Tuesday, August 17, Malcolm Clouse scored 7,410 and Clarence Jacobson was second followed for the second week in a row with a score of 6,380. Clarance and Nina Jones were both awarded the traveling prize.

Hi-Line Whist

8-8. On Tuesday, August 8, Roger and Clara took the first game over Curt and Pearl by a 15-4 tally and in the second game, Roger and Elora defeated Pearl and Delores by a 13-2 clip.

"I just couldn't get ahead of those two pros," Pearl said of her back-to-back losses.

On Friday, August 11, Clara and Agnes swept the contests against Pearl and Roger, 13-4 and 16-11.

In the final match of the day, Pearl and Roger defeated Clara and Agnes, ending Pearl's losing streak.

"I messed up and shame on me," Pearl said. "We came back and won thanks to Roger."

8-13. On Sunday, August 13, Gloria and Clara took the first contest by a 13-7 tally before Roger and Pearl evened the series with a 16-4 win.

"Really exciting games and we each made one," Pearl said.

8-15. On Tuesday, August 15, Curt and Pearl teamed-up for the lone win of the day, 14-11, over Gloria and Clara.

"Curt wasn't feeling well,. but played a great game," Pearl said.

8-18. On Friday, August 18, Curt and Aggie took the best two out of three with 14-6 and 13-8 wins over Clara and Pearl (the lady's long win coming in a 14-1 thrashing.)

"They where tough on us but we made our one," Pearl said. "We are all praying Roger will feel better soon."
