One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News & Opinion for November 8, 2017

Get well wishes to Tricia LaBrie in Seattle, Wash.

Cattle shipping is in full swing in Whitewater and all over this agriculture county. There was lots of activity and people at the Austin Green Ranch on October 29. Most of the Austin families were there with spouses and children. Mr. Von Holzhey was one hand hired.

Jean Green’s (deceased) family was there, including Kari (Green) Hould, Jonathan and Marcus Green (Brian Green’s children) Cherie (Green) Young of Glasgow and Serena (Green) Venable and family were also at the ranch. It was a busy day.

Did you remember to turn your clock back on November 7? If not, you might be late for something. It is “spring forward and fall back.” I wish they would leave time one way or the other.

Janet Brown (my sister) came to visit. She rode from Billings with Justin Austin who came for shipping cattle at the ranch. Justin celebrated his birthday too.

Northeast Art Network’s had a string quartet concert. Jeanie Green, Janet and I went to it.

Sunday, Gale and Challise Young took Janet and I to the Sleeping Buffalo. Water was fine.

Whitewater Lutheran Church presented a concert by Mr. Swingen on accordion and Mr. Engebretson on trumpet. Their music was awesome! Rev. Jason Asseisline of Conrad was guest speaker on the day as well.

It was a very busy week.

Reminder: Turkey Bingo at Whitewater School is on Thursday, November 9 and all are welcome to attend.

I can’t believe it is already November!

Take care,

Helen A.
