One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News & Opinion for December 27, 2017

Sympathy to Medicaid recipients, who either lost Medicaid or have it really cut down because of government cuts. These people are disabled, elderly and/or too sick to work! (Shame on the government!)

Christmas is a time of giving to the Salvation Army and the Red Cross, as well as local charities are great. Salute to Saco on the food and clothes drive.

Jesse and Carrie Simonson amaze me, as they took all their children and foster children to Arizona for vacation. They traveled in different planes.

My sis, Janet Brown, went to Las Vegas with Janice and Curt Reichelt to visit Gene Brown, my nephew. Will they gamble? (What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!)

Sally Austin attended the Christmas Meeting of Council on Aging on Wednesday.

Our Whitewater has its own Christmas activities. The school program was last Wednesday. Grades K through 12 sang, Santa visited and delicious pies were served.

Sunday, December 17, Whitewater Sunday School presented their lovely Sunday program. A luncheon was served following. It was a nice day.

Saco School had their Christmas program December 18. It's my granddaughter's last Christmas concert as she is a senior. It is sad when children grow up but they do. Anyway, time marches on.

Since the P.C. News has early Edition, I'm writing news early. I will report Saco's concert next week.

Happy Birthday to all December birthdays. Merry Christmas to all!

As always, Helen A.
