One Nation, Under God

Polly Solberg was in Havre on Thursday and had lunch with cousins Bonnie and Gail Pollington. She stopped at Eagles Manor and visited Nancy Sudan.

Evie Hammer from Washington State was here visiting her mom Eva Bruckner in Malta and Polly visited them on Friday and enjoyed congregate lunch at the GN with them.

Dora Henry's daughter, Linda Vulk, of East Helena, visited and then took her mom to Whitehall where they met Dora's granddaughter, Kristi Wilson. They then all went to Butte where they met the former superintendent of Dodson Schools Nellie Sherman for dinner. On Friday morning Dora and Kristi flew from Bozeman to Los Angeles to visit Dora's sister, Adena Halley, who had suffered a stroke. They returned to Montana on Tuesday and on Thursday met daughter Teresa Leys and grandson Roper Leys in Whitehall, who brought Dora back to Dodson.

Teresa, Roper, and Dora visited Bill and Marilyn Henry in Havre on Sunday.

Dora chanced to meet Bunny Macaulay, a former teacher in Dodson, in Havre.

Everyone is working on lawns and gardens and getting ready for the fair which is coming up on us fast. The summer is going fast, and school will be soon in session again. The Bear family is working hard on the fairgrounds to have them nice for the fair the first weekend in August.

Mayor Cole has been busy getting the Town ready for the coming fair. Dakota has been mowing again.

The weather is so unpredictable! One day is so hot and the next is cold AND windy.

It is so nice to see Velma Ereaux has cleaned up the Langford yard again so there is one more place looking good on the west side of Town. The yards there used to look so nice all the time.

Birthday greetings are sent to John KillEagle, Wesley KillEagle, Jr., Ann Kienenberger and all others having a birthday. Congratulations to all celebrating wedding anniversaries.

Nowhere can man find a quieter or more untroubled retreat than in his own soul.

Hope everyone is enjoying the summer! Have a good week!
