January 3: HAPPY NEW YEAR 2024 TO ALL FROM WHITEWATER, MONTANA!!

Get well wishes to all who are sick. Happy Birthday to those celebrated in December, including Sommer Green.

Over Christmas, there was a beautiful candlelight service at Whitewater Lutheran Church. The church was full, and I really enjoyed playing the familiar Christmas carols.

There were many guests including a choir from Malta. They were children and combined with our Whitewater youth to sing.

Another I visited with was Scot Anderson.

Merry Christmas to all from my children Teresa, Mitchell and Gale!

December 26th, we went to Sleeping Buffalo and it was packed with people of all ages. Ree Simonson, Tammy and Andy Salveson, Jeannie Green and I were there to swim. I sat in the hot tub. It was wonderful.

Later we went to Paul and Leona Siewings for a delicious supper. Seth and Jon were there also. Charles played an African drum, and Seth and Jon played drums and guitar. I played the piano. Everyone sang, it was fun!

Thanks to all who gave me food and gift cards.

Again, Happy New Year!

January 10: Sympathy to the family and friends of Pat Anderson. Her husband Bobby Anderson passed away a few weeks ago. That is so sad but romantic. Pat and Bobby lived in Whitewater almost all their lives. We will miss him.

It is January 2024! Happy New Year! On New Year's Eve, the North 40 hosted a New Year's Eve party. Spanky Mace was the chief cook. The special was Chinese food, it was very good.

The weather was so nice. Last year it was 35 below on New Year's Eve.

The weather is so changeable in Whitewater and most of Montana. If you don’t like the weather wait five minutes and it will change.

Ashley, Dallas, and family went to Spearfish South Dakota to visit family over the holiday season.

Janice and Curt Reichelt went to Denver, Colorado to visit their children and grandchildren. They have a new grandbaby. It’s a girl! Kenny Reichelt and wife had a baby a few months ago. The family is growing.

Happy Birthday to all who are celebrating in January, including Patti Young.

Get well wishes to Howie Hammond and all who are sick.

Again, thank you to all who gave me meals and gifts, cards, rides, and your friendship in the past.

Happy New Year!

Helen A.
