    A total of 35 people showed up for a special meeting to discuss the future of the Municipal Pool in Malta last Tuesday night which concluded with the Malta City Council eyeing a likely city-wide election to decide if a new or replaced pool is realistic.     The attendance at this year's Phillips County Fair in Dodson reached exactly 4,000 this year, up from 2016's total of 3,634 total fairgoers and nearly equaling the 100th Annual event held two years ago when the Centennial fair reached a total of 4,020 total attendees. Farms and ranches suffering from drought and/or fire damage may be eligible for assistance under the Emergency Conservation Program (ECP) administered by the Phillips County Farm Service Agency (FSA).     The Malta Swim Team participated in the Montana Federation of Swimmers State Meet on Saturday, August 5 through Sunday, August 6 at the new pool in Lewistown.
