The Phillips County 4-H Shooting Sports program had nine youth participate in 21 events in the State 4-H Shoot in Bozeman March 7 and 8. There were 400 youth from around the state competing. God took another angel home. Kari Lee Cash, 59, died peacefully on May 1, 2015, at her home surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer. The Phillips County 4-H Shooting Sports held their annual pizza and awards ceremony on May 3rd at Stretch’s Banquet Room. There were 73 youth that participated in the program this year for a total of 95 disciplines. The youth shot for 8 weeks on the county level in archery, air rifle and air pistol disciplines. Scott Kelsey, Malta, Montana, was selected as a recipient of the National Institute of Health (NIH) Initiative for Maximizing Student Development Fellowship. Love of fabrics and history brought over 30 women to the PC Museum to hear about dating fabric in antique quilts. Presenter, Sandy Barker, brought four quilts dating from 1850 to the early 1900's to demonstrate what clues could be gained to date your quilt.
