One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News for December 11, 2017

“Get well” to Mike Hammond.

Many from the area attended the funeral of Bud Mavencamp. Sally Austin, Ree Simanton and I also went to the funeral.

Pam (Courtney Hellie’s mother) spent Christmas in Colorado.

Happy retirement to Patty Young as she is retiring from the Post Office after 43 year – we will miss you. I’m glad to hear you are still planning to live here in Whitewater. Ashley Green is now Post Master at the Whitewater Post Office. Good luck to you, Ashley.

Congratulations to Barbara Dunbar as she is Director of Nursing at the Hi-Line Retirement Center in Malta.

Lyn and Bruce Hill and son spent Christmas with their daughter, Wendy, and her family in Great Falls.

North 40 Café served tacos and burritos on New Year’s Eve to a pretty good crowd.

Linda Berg and some of her family went to Billings. Then, on New Year’s Eve, Linda hosted a dinner for her family from Canada. They set off loud fireworks at midnight to ring in the New Year.

After the holiday, it was a “let down” as there are not many activities and it is cold with snow here and in most places across Montana. The sun is shinning today and that helps though.

Well, did you make a New Year’s Resolution? My resolution is to be more “organized.” (Everyone who knows me will laugh at that.)

Happy New Year to all Whitewater’s Penguins.

Helen
