Elementary gym gets upgrade

The gymnasium at Malta Grade School received a similar upgrade that Malta High School did last summer, updating their lighting in a move that will save the school $1,422.00 yearly according to Malta Electrical Contractors’ Steve Cole.

“It’s a different fixture too because of the size of the gym,” Cole said. “The school will save right around $1,400 a year just in energy savings and over the life of the fixture the maintenance cost is virtually zero, so I would say over the next ten years you would probably save yourself over $1,500 or more in ballasts and lamps.”
