NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Phillips County Oil and Gas Company has filed in the above Court and cause a “MOTION FOR ORDER AUTHORIZING DISTRIBUTION OF INTERPLED FUNDS AND QUIETING TITLE TO DISPUTED MINERAL INTEREST” (the “Motion”) in which it lays claim to all funds previously interpled with the office of the clerk of the above court. For further information, the Motion, as filed, may be examined in the office of the clerk of the above Court. Hearing upon the Motion will be held in the courthouse at Malta, Montana, on October 10, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at which time all interested persons may appear and object to the Motion.

CITY OF MALTA

Notice of Municipal Primary Election

Notice is hereby given that on September 12, 2017 the City of Malta Municipal Primary Election will be held by mail ballot only for the purpose of determining which two candidates’ names for Mayor will appear on the Municipal General Election ballot, November 7, 2017. Five candidates have filed for the City of Malta Mayor position. Only two will proceed to the Municipal General Election. Ward 1 and Ward 2 candidate names will not appear on the Municipal Primary ballot. The Municipal Primary Election will be conducted by mail only, no polls will be open. Ballots will be mailed August 23, 2017 to all City of Malta active voters. Ballots must be received no later than 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the Election Office located in the Phillips County Courthouse, 314 South 2nd Avenue West, or mailed to PO Box 360, Malta, Montana 59538. If you have questions regarding your voting status, or questions about this election, please call the Elections Office at 654-2423.

The City of Malta will conduct a public hearing August 31, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. in the council chambers of city hall.

The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comment concerning the 2017/18 budget and proposed mills. Persons and/or their agent(s) may appear in person or send written comments to Mayor Shyla Jones, PO Box 1300, Malta MT 59538 no later than 10:00 a.m. August 31, 2017. Copies of the preliminary budget will be available for review after August 28, 2017 during regular business hours.

1. SEALED BIDS will be received until 10:00 a.m. LOCAL TIME at the Fort Belknap Agency, Tribal Office Building,

Harlem, Montana UNTIL September 21, 2017 for the leasing of 3,002.73 acres more or less, of allotted tracts on Fort

Belknap Indian Reservation lands. Bids will be considered for farm and pasture lands described on the attached sheets for

a period of five years. On the farm acres, ONLY CASHIERS' CHECK FOR RENTAL WILL BE ACCEPTED. No

Sub-Lease will be allowed, No crop share will be considered. Bids must cover an entire item as advertised. Leases to

begin on approval. Rental payments are due January lst of each year for all leases. SEALED BIDS WILL BE

OPENED ON September 2l, 20l7 AT THE BIA, REALTY CONFERENCE ROOM AT 10:00 A.M.

2. ITEMS advertised may be subject "to consent of the landowner" which will require the landowner's signature. All

other items will be awarded to the high bidder and signed by the Superintendent for the landowners pursuant to

Authority 25 CFR 162.209 (b) (l). ALL BIDS ARE SUBJECT TO THE ACCEPTANCE By THE

negotiable Treasury obligations for an amount sufficient to reasonably insure performance of the terms of the lease. A

Power of Attorney is required with negotiable bonds, appointing and empowering the Secretary of the Interior, or his

authorized representative, in the event of any breach of lease, to pay over such sum or to deposit any such bonds and pay

over the proceeds derived there from as liquidated damages to or for the benefit of the lessors.

*Non-member bidders are subject to Tribal Business fees.*BIA IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ACCESS TO

LAND. *If you have existing leases, you must be current on lease rental payments. (No delinquent lease rentals.)
