Conservation District to host range monitoring workshop

The Phillips Conservation District will be hosting a range monitoring workshop on Thursday, September 21, in Malta.

Emily Standley, range technician for the Montana Rangelands Partnership, will be presenting information on easy-to-use, efficient monitoring methods that can help you track the health of your grazing lands.

Our discussion will be focused on photo monitoring, ground cover, and stubble height measurements.

The workshop will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We will meet at the NRCS Field Office in Malta at 9 a.m. and travel to the workshop site together, which is just a few miles south of town.

No registration is required. If you have questions, please contact Emily Standley (406-396-5418) or the Phillips Conservation District (406-654-1334 x 3).
