Malta Chamber Putt Crawl

Halloween and putt-putt golf collided last Friday as many adults went around town for nine rounds during the Malta Chamber of Commerce's 6th Annual Malta Putt Crawl.

"We have had a great turnout," Anne Sauter of The Malta Chamber of Commerce said noting the amount of teams was around thirty. "The proceeds of this event go right back into the Chamber so that we can provide services to all of our members."

Poundin' Pills, a group consisting of Greg Zeigler, Amanda Zeigler, CJ Bishop and Karey Bishop, won the event.

The team with the worst score was 80's Hair band, which consisted of Jessie Schipman, Leslie Schipman, Jim Benn and Genna Bosley.

The Best Dressed team was "Forrest" consisting of Lennie Cebulski as Bubba, Jessie Cebulski as Lieutenant Dan, Ryan McLaughlin as Forrest Gump and Nellie Ereaux as Jenny. Lucky Bullet had the best hole.

Another highlight of the event was that President Donald Trump showed up with Melania and a pair of Secret Service Agents.

President Trump was portrayed by Ryan Tangedal, Melania was portrayed by Kara Tangedal and the Secret Service Agents were portrayed by Casey Gallagher and Kelli French.

"Casey is great, she is really great, she's great, she is great," Tangedal-Trump said.

Tangedal-Trump was asked why he came all the way over to Malta to play a round of golf.

"We are here to represent Malta Montana and we have (he has) the blue tie on of course," Tangedal-Trump said. "I used to wear red but I love blue right now. Go Malta! Go Malta!"

He was asked how good his game of golf was.

"My golf game is great, it's always great," Tangedal-Trump said.

Agent Gallagher added a few more words.

"He owns it, we are just here to support that," Agent Gallagher said.

Rose, Sofia, Dorothy, and Blanche of the Golden Girls were in the house, as well as a few Snapchat filters (Reindeer, Honeybee, Butterfly and Flower Headband). Inky, Blinky, Clyde and Pac-Man were also present.

At the Pac-Man themed hole at Stretch's Pizza, a couple of early golfers were able to get a hole-in-one despite the hole being difficult.

The first to get a hole in one was Jodi Blunt of Avid Bird Watchers.

"It was pure luck," Blunt said. "I zeroed in on the Pac-Man mouth and it just felt right."
