Phillips County Sheriff's Report for November 22, 2017

November 4, 2017

3:42 a.m. Winter Weather Advisory is canceled.

8:48 a.m. Female reported a one vehicle accident on Hwy 191 south of Malta; no one was around the vehicle; information passed onto MHP Dispatch.

10:25 a.m. 911 received requesting an individual be removed from a Dodson residence and caller wanted to report a theft of property; second individual in the residence reported all was okay and no law enforcement needed; Deputy handled the call.

3:02 p.m. Saco Ambulance reported they were responding to a Saco residence where a female had fallen; patient later transported to the Glasgow hospital.

3:31 p.m. Male requested law enforcement assistance with a situation involving a family member; Deputies responded to the call; situation taken care of without further incident.

4:56 p.m. Reserve Deputy reported a one vehicle accident just out of Saco on Hwy 2; Deputies responded to the call; case file started.

5:32 p.m. Deputy transported one adult male, David Evans, to PCSO to be incarcerated in PCSO Jail on a Great Falls PD warrant, DUI, Driving While Suspended and Criminal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia charges.

9:22 p.m. Female reported loud noises coming from a neighbor’s residence; Deputies responded to the call; all found to be okay, just a small party going on; individuals advised to keep it down.

November 5, 2017

1:45 a.m. Female reported a loud commotion involving vehicles and people woke her household up in a residential/business neighborhood; Deputy and Reserve Deputy responded to the call; all found to be okay, individuals were trying to get a vehicle removed from the street that had frozen brakes.

6:02 a.m. Local convenience store reported a vehicle at one of the fuel pumps had been there for a few hours; caller wanted a welfare check on it; Undersheriff responded to the call; all found to be okay and no one was around the area.

3:17 p.m. Male reported an issue with the City Water behind a local business; information passed onto City employee.

November 6, 2017

12:11 a.m. Reserve Deputy performed security checks in the Sleeping Buffalo and Saco areas.

2:42 a.m. 911 received requesting an ambulance in Saco for a female with low blood sugar; Saco EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the Glasgow Hospital.

11:24 a.m. Local business reported thefts from over the weekend; Undersheriff responded to the call; case file started.

11:37 a.m. Undersheriff released one adult male, Ranvir Aujlay, from PCSO Jail on bond.

12:00 p.m. Female filed a complaint about a possible assault that happened several months ago; Undersheriff handled the call.

1:42 p.m. 911 received reporting a structure fire east of Malta off of Hwy 2; Sheriff, Undersheriff, local Fire Dept and Ambulance responded to the call; NorthWestern Energy and MDU also responded to the call.

2:25 p.m. Justice of the Peace requested law enforcement assistance with a situation involving a juvenile; Undersheriff responded to the call; case file started.

2:49 p.m. Male reported finding property on Hwy 2, east of Malta; owner later located and property returned.

3:44 p.m. Several calls received reporting a large plume of smoke, on the southeast edge of Malta; callers all advised was a reported controlled burn.

4:34 p.m. Female reported a two vehicle fender/bender on a residential street; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

5:17 p.m. Female reported seeing flames in the structure fire rubble east of Malta; information passed onto Fire Dept.

5:33 p.m. Female reported hearing gunshots near her residence west of Malta; Deputy responded to the call; all found to be quiet and no one around.

6:26 p.m. Reserve Deputy performed a welfare check on a vehicle alongside of Hwy 2; driver reported the vehicle had slid off of Hwy 2 and went through a fence; white form issued.

8:26 p.m. 911 received reporting a “glowing” coming from a residence east of Malta; caller advised was structure fire from earlier; information passed onto local FD.

8:45 p.m. Male reported seeing flames on the south side of Hwy 2, near Saco; caller advised it was a reported controlled burn and all was okay.

10:12 p.m. 911 received reporting a structure fire east of Malta; location confirmed as the one from earlier in the day.

November 7, 2017

9:35 a.m. Male requested law enforcement assistance with a family member; Sheriff and Undersheriff responded to the call; family member later transported to the PC Hospital for mental evaluation; case file started.

9:43 a.m. Female reported a road hazard on Hwy 191 south of Malta; local MHP Trooper responded to the call; found to be a storage shed lost off of a trailer that was hauling it; owner located and advised; shed later removed.

12:52 p.m. Male requested law enforcement assistance with an abandoned vehicle on his property; Undersheriff responded to the call; owner located and advised to move the vehicle.

3:55 p.m. Deputy transported one adult male to the Montana State Hospital for evaluation.

4:00 p.m. Undersheriff released one adult male, David Evans Sr, from PCSO Jail to be transported to Valley Co Detention Center by a Glasgow PD Officer.

7:55 p.m. Deputy incarcerated one adult male, Levi Gilmore, into PCSO Jail to serve time on Probation Violation charges.

10:56 p.m. Deputy received a report of theft of property from a vehicle left running outside of a residence; case file started.

11:37 p.m. Deputy performed security checks around the Malta town and surrounding area.

November 8, 2017

7:58 a.m. Male requested law enforcement assistance with a stray dog in the Zortman/Landusky area; Undersheriff handled the call.

9:20 a.m. Female reported a pipe lying near the Underpass; Undersheriff responded to the call; pipe had been removed by another party.

10:30 a.m. Undersheriff incarcerated one adult male, Troy Salveson, into PCSO Jail to serve time on sentencing for a Probation Violation charge.

12:26 p.m. Male reported a possible scam for Veteran’s donations.

2:32 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory in effect from noon Thursday until 4am Friday.

2:59 p.m. Individuals requested a welfare check on a juvenile who was possibly left alone overnight and all day; Undersheriff responded to the call; all found to be okay.

4:40 p.m. Male reported a scavenger hunt would be happening in Saco tonight.

9:35 p.m. 911 received reporting a one vehicle, non-injury rollover on the Dry Fork Road, east of Hwy 191 south; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

November 9, 2017

3:49 a.m. Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect from noon today until 4am Friday.

10:04 a.m. Male reported a power outage west of Malta; information passed onto NorthWestern Energy.

10:38 a.m. BNSF Police reported a crossing arm malfunction at the Stine’s crossing and a maintainer was enroute to repair it.

10:58 a.m. Male reported an upside down vehicle on the Dry Fork Road; caller advised was a reported accident from last night.

2:02 p.m. Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 4am Friday.

4:31 p.m. 911 received requesting assistance for a male who fell and couldn’t get up; local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient not transported to the hospital.

4:35 p.m. 911 received requesting a welfare check on a juvenile at a Dodson residence; Deputy responded to the call; juvenile located and was okay.

4:45 p.m. Male reported a fire in the county dumpster near the Malta Ready Mix; Deputy and local Fire Dept responded to the call; fire later controlled and extinguished.

5:32 p.m. Male reported a possible computer scam.
