One Nation, Under God

Loring News for February 21, 2018

Congratulations to both the North Country Mavericks and Lady Mavericks on their performance at District tournaments. Both teams move on to Divisional at Wolf Point. Also, both Malta teams earned places at 2B Divisional. And the Turner Lady Tornadoes are advancing to their Divisional tournament. Good luck to all!

Sympathy to the McMullen family on the death of Vivian McMullen. She was 100! She and her husband Lenard farmed north of Loring near the border for many years and her son still is on the farm.

The weather...what else do I speak of...was brutal this past week. Monday was so cold that the buses didn't run for Whitewater. Wednesday the wind was blowing the new snow around like it was furious! More snow fell on Saturday evening.

Loring Lutheran Church will have services on Sunday the 25th at 9 a.m.

Gale and Leroy Simonson, and Colleen and Lowal Hallock were enthusiastic fans of the Mavericks, especially of Trace Simonson since he's a senior this year!

I hope that everyone will stay safe during this cold weather! 'Til next week!
