February 2 through February 9, 2018.

Please remember to file a new burn permit for the 2018 year. If you plan on doing any burning in 2018, please file one BEFORE you start to burn. These permits are good for all of 2018 and you only have to file one a year, not every time you burn. All 2017 permits will no longer be valid after December 31, 2017. Thank you!

February 2, 2018

10:31 p.m. 911 received requesting an ambulance for an elderly female who fell; local EMT Crew responded to the call; patient transported to the PC Hospital.

11:15 p.m. Female reported being harassed by a soon to be ex-husband; Deputy handled the call.

11:49 p.m. Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from 3am Saturday through late Saturday night for all of Phillips Co; Winter Weather Advisory is canceled for southwest Phillips Co.

February 3, 2018

2:37 a.m. Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 5am Sunday for all of Phillips Co.

9:40 a.m. Local Ambulance reported to MHS for the Divisional Wrestling tournament.

11:01 a.m. Several reports received advising of Hwy 2, between Saco and Malta, was started to drift in and there was only one lane visible to drive on; information passed onto MT Dept of Transportation employee.

11:07 a.m. Local MHP Trooper reported Hwy 2 west, near the Overpass, was also starting to drift in; information passed onto MT Dept of Transportation employee.

1:34 p.m. Female reported the Wagner Hwy was drifting in; information passed onto MT Dept of Transportation employee.

2:22 p.m. Female reported seeing a vehicle that was stuck in the Malta Cemetery from her residence; Deputy handled the call.

2:34 p.m. Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 5am Sunday for all of Phillips Co. Winter Storm Watch in effect from Sunday afternoon through Monday morning for southwest Phillips Co.

5:07 p.m. Male reported the ambulance was stuck in a snowbank at MHS; local rotational wrecker service handled the call.

5:34 p.m. Male reported seeing a “strobe light” across the lake; caller wanted to make sure someone wasn’t stranded; Deputy handled the call.

9:45 p.m. Wind Chill Advisory in effect until 11am Sunday/Winter Weather Advisory is canceled; both for all of Phillips Co. Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Sunday afternoon through Monday morning for southwest Phillips Co.

10:16 p.m. Female reported her vehicle slid off of Hwy 191 near Bohemian Corner and she needed a tow truck; information passed onto Fergus Co SO.

10:31 p.m. Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until 11am Sunday for all of Phillips Co.

Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Sunday afternoon through Monday morning for southwest Phillips.

2:56 a.m. Wind Chill Advisory now in effect until 11am Monday for all of Phillips Co.Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 2pm today until 8am Monday for southwest Phillips.

10:38 a.m. Wind Chill Advisory is canceled for most of Phillips Co; remains in effect until 11am Monday for northern Phillips.Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 2pm today until 8am Monday.

12:55 p.m. Female reported a power outage a local residence; information passed onto NorthWestern Energy.

2:19 p.m. Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 8am Monday for southwest Phillips. Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until 11am Monday for northern Phillips Co.

3:32 p.m. Female reported a fire at an apartment; Deputy, local Fire Dept and Ambulance responded to the call; fire later controlled and extinguished.

7:03 p.m. Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 8am Monday for most of Phillips Co.Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until 11am Monday for northern Phillips.

8:07 p.m. Female reported a dead deer on Hwy 2, east of Malta; Deputy responded to the call and removed the deer from the Hwy.

10:54 p.m. ADT reported a commercial fire alarm sounding at a county school; information passed onto Deputy and school employee; all found to be okay, no fire.

3:34 a.m. Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 8am today for most of Phillips Co. Wind Chill Advisory in effect from 5pm today until 11am Tuesday for central and southeast Phillips. Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until 11am today/in effect from 5pm today until 11am Tuesday for northern Phillips Co.

7:38 a.m. Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect from 5pm today until 11am Tuesday for most of Phillips Co. Winter Weather Advisory is canceled for all of Phillips. Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until 11am today for northern Phillips.

12:07 p.m. Undersheriff released one adult male, Landon Costin, from PCSO Jail on time served.

5:16 p.m. PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a ground transport to Glasgow; local EMT Crew handled the call.

8:36 p.m. Deputy removed debris from Hwy 2.

9:09 p.m. 911 received requesting assistance on the reservation; call transferred to Ft Belknap LE.

9:20 p.m. Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Wednesday evening through late Thursday night for all of Phillips Co.

9:32 p.m. Deputy performed security checks in the Dodson area.

9:59 p.m. 911 received requesting assistance on the reservation; call transferred to Ft Belknap LE.

11:45 p.m. Deputy performed security checks around the Malta area.

February 7, 2018

3:14 a.m. Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from this evening through late Thursday night for all of Phillips Co.

7:51 a.m. Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from 6pm tonight until late Thursday night.

9:35 a.m. Female reported an injured deer in a residential yard on the north side of Malta; information passed onto local Fish & Game Warden.

12:14 p.m. Winter Storm Warning in effect from 6pm tonight until 6am Friday.

12:20 p.m. 911 received reporting a vehicle parked in the middle of a residential alley; Undersheriff responded to the call; vehicle was removed before law enforcement arrival.

1:21 p.m. Female reported a theft of property; Undersheriff responded to the call; case file started.

3:09 p.m. Deputy reported a pickup and trailer, off of Hwy 2, near the Sleeping Buffalo and no one was around; vehicle appeared to be stuck.

3:28 p.m. Deputy stopped a vehicle dragging a heater cord near a residential alley; driver advised and cord removed.

6:28 p.m. Male reported a pickup and trailer off of Hwy 2, “that could cause a traffic accident”; Deputy handled the call.

8:19 p.m. Female requested a welfare check on a family member at a local residence; Deputy responded to the call; male later located, was okay and out of town.

9:33 p.m. Deputies performed a welfare check on individuals removing the reported pickup and trailer from Hwy 2, east of the Sleeping Buffalo; all was okay, just finishing up loading the vehicles.

February 8, 2018

1:40 a.m. Deputy reported the roads were getting deep and dangerous due to all the snow accumulation; information passed onto MT Dept of Transportation employee; Deputy advised the sand trucks would come out around 4am.

3:05 a.m. Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6am Friday.

3:10 a.m. Female reported a vehicle parked alongside of Hwy 191 north; caller also advised of swerving tracks in the new snow leading up to this vehicle; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

3:45 a.m. Deputy transported one adult male, Steven Johannesen, to PCSO to be incarcerated in PCSO Jail on Driving While Suspended charges.

9:30 a.m. Female reported a phone scam.

12:02 p.m. Female reported missing dogs; dogs later located and returned home.

1:40 p.m. Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6am Friday.

2:40 p.m. MT Dept of Transportation reported an elderly male in a vehicle alongside of Hwy 2, east of Malta; local MHP Trooper responded to the call; male found to be okay, just sleeping.

3:01 p.m. MT Dept of Transportation reported a jack-knifed semi truck and trailer in front of a local motel; local MHP Trooper handled the call.

4:48 p.m. Deputy performed a motorist assist in a residential area.

4:56 p.m. Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6am Friday.

5:42 p.m. Male reported the Overpass was blowing and drifting, causing dangerous road conditions; information passed onto MT Dept of Transportation employee.

7:27 p.m. Female reported a phone scam; callers were using a local name and phone number.

February 9, 2018

1:55 a.m. Deputy reported water near a local business; information passed onto City employee.

2:14 a.m. Deputy reported a vehicle having engine issues would be staying the night at a Historical Marker on Hwy 2.

3:00 a.m. Wind Chill Advisory in effect until 11am Saturday; Winter Storm Warning is canceled.

3:16 a.m. Deputy reported a vehicle stuck in the snow that was a minor traffic hazard; owner located and advised the vehicle would be removed tomorrow.

8:26 a.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with a situation involving an ex-boyfriend; Deputy handled the call.

10:18 p.m. BNSF Police reported a crossing arm malfunction at the Stine’s crossing and a maintainer was enroute to repair it.

1:31 p.m. Wind Chill Warning remains in effect from midnight until 10am Saturday for most of Phillips Co; Wind Chill Advisory until 11am for southwest.
