Darrel L. Linner

Darrel L Linner, 77, of Fort Peck, Mont., passed away suddenly at his home on March 3, 2018.

He was born May 24, 1940, to Theodore and Viola (Hasner) Linner of Wolf Point, Mont. After graduating from high school, he served in the US Navy. Thereafter he married Sharon Olson and they made their home in Wolf Point where he worked for the State Highway Department for 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, mowing lawns, fishing, hunting, playing cards and visiting with friends over a hot cup of coffee. He will always be remembered for his funny sense of humor, his presence on the sidelines of his kids and grandkids sporting events and always having room for peanut butter cookies.

He is survived by his four children: Dawn (Wes) Thompson of Ray, N.D., Donovan Linner of Minot, N.D., DoDee (Dennis) Oxarart of Malta, Mont., and Daron (Christie) Linner of Billings, Mont. Eleven grandchildren: Cassie, Alexandra (Chase), Tyler, Alexis, Meghan, Tanner, Abbey, Avrey, Kooper, Stockton, and Kazner. One great-grandchild, Finn.

Darrel is preceded in death by his wife, Sharon, parents Theodore and Viola, sister Dorothy Hagestad, brothers Dennis and Donald, and a grandson Karson.

A celebration of Darrel Linner's life will be held at a later date in Fort Peck, Mont.
