Cory Thomas Stephens

Cory Thomas Stephens, age 36, a resident of Sparks, Nev., entered into eternal rest August 4, 2017. Cory was born August 10, 1981, to Thomas Stephens and Rhonda Shell Stephens in Juneau, AK.

Cory was a wood craftsman and custom cabinet builder in Alaska and Nevada. He enjoyed the outdoors, snowmobiling, motorbikes, hiking, camping, fishing and remote control rock climbing. One of Cory's greatest achievements was participating, counseling and sponsoring others in AA, NA and drug court throughout Alaska.

Cory is survived by his parents Tom (Karla) Stephens of Roseburg, Ore., and Rhonda Shell Henry Truth Or Consequences, N.M.; sister Crystal Stephens-Raber Salisbury, Md.; brother Casey Stephens Las Cruces, N.M.; maternal grandparents George and Margaret Shell Apache Junction, Ariz.; girlfriend Lyndsi Jurado Spokane, Wash.: along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews in AK, N.D., Fla., Nev. Mont. and Md..

Cory was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Archie (Steve) and Martha Stephens, cousin Jason Shell and brother-in-law Edward Raber.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Cory's Life will be at the Malta Cemetery Monday, May 28, 2018, at 5 p.m.

Cory's family would like to thank everyone for all your prayers during this difficult time.
