One Nation, Under God
I can’t believe that it is already June. Happy Father’s Day, all dads and Granddads. Also, happy birthday to all June B-days, including Linda Berg, Janet Brown (my sis), Glen and Gene Brown (her son) my two nephews.
Some from Whitewater area attended the Car Show and lunch in Malta. Some also attended the drag races in Malta this weekend.
Well, I went to Billings, Mont., with Janice Reichelt as she had appointments. We had a nice visit with Janet B. my sister. It rained all the way and there was also a little hail. It’s green all over again. Billings is too big for my taste, I prefer it here in Whitewater.
Lu Bessel went to the Robinson Bridge on the Missouri River for a camping trip with family.
Late congratulations to participants at state track! Also a big congrats to Whitewater’s Jeremiah LaBrie on winning a recent swimming meet.
Recently I went to the Sleeping Buffalo. There are always interesting people there to visit with. This time, there were two young men who have a farm near Saco, yet they live in Australia and go back and forth.
A lady at the pool had attended church in Lodge Pole and church was in a teepee. In the teepee was a huge pole and people would tie their prayer request notes to the pole with ribbons. Beautiful idea.
Back in Whitewater, Steve Schumacher (pastor) preached at Whitewater Lutheran Church. Unity Church is having their 100th anniversary this June! For info, contact the church office.
On Tuesday, a lady from the Jehovah Witnesses visited in Whitewater. There are many different religions, but we all worship the same God.
The crops and gardens are seeded so we hope and pray for rain. One night, we had lightning and thunder that just reached our Whitewater Valley and we got some rain.
Enjoy late spring.
Helen A.
