2018 Phillips County Fair Grandstand Events

Roots & Boots

8-3. Roots & Boots — comprised of Aaron Tippin, Sammy Kershaw, and Collin Raye — live in concert on Friday, August 3, starting at 6:30 p.m.

AMX Races

8-4. AMX Races at the Phillips County Fair start at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 4.

Demolition Derby

8-4. On Saturday, August 4, the Phillips County Fair Demolition Derby gets underway starting at 8 p.m.

Indian Relay Races, Parade of Champions, and Ranch Rodeo

8-5. The Relay Race heat qualifiers start at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 4.

The Parade of Champions starts at 1 p.m.

The Ranch Rodeo starts at 1:30 p.m.

Following the Ranch Rodeo will be the Joe Kirkaldie Memorial Race, Rayel Brown Memorial Race, Relay Race Calcutta, Consolation and Championship at 5 p.m.

Autonomy Grief Classes

Starting 7-25. Good grief! Join us for 6 weeks, at no cost, beginning Wednesday, July 25th from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the Phillips County Nurse’s office (105 S 2 E) where Pastor Joe Haney will help guide you through the process and anatomy of grief from your personal loss. Call 654-1639 for any questions.

Beef specialist to talk on low forage situations

7-27. On Friday, July 27 at 3 p.m., Montana State University Beef Specialist Dr. Megan Van Emon will be at the Great Northern to present management option for low forage situations. This may include creep feeding calves, weaning calves early or a combination of both. These management approaches will help the calf meet is growing forage and nutrient needs and reduce demands on the cow. All welcome to attend.

Blue Ridge Brewing Grand Opening

7-28. On Saturday, July 28, Blue Ridge Brewing will host their grand opening from 2 to 8 p.m. at their 320 S 1st St. E. location in Malta. Festivities include live music by Nate Salsbery and Old Dog New Trick.

4-H Horse Show

7-28. The Phillips County 4-H Horse Show will be held Saturday, July 28 at the Malta Pavilion. The youth will start their show at 9 a.m. Please come down and see what they have accomplished this year.

First State Bank E-waste Event

8-4. On Saturday, August 4, Malta First State Bank will be hosting an E-waste recycling event in Malta. More information as the events draws closer.
