The election date is Tuesday, May 7th and is conducted through the Phillips County Clerk and Recorders Office. This is a MAIL IN BALLOT.     Ellis Carnahan, an eighth grade student at Malta Middle School, was selected as the author of the 2023-2024 Patriot's Pen Essay Contest. He was recognized at an assembly at the Malta High School auditorium, along with third place winner, Jace Tollefson. The annual AAU middle school and high school national duals were held in Des Moines, Iowa April 6th and 7th and Malta had four wrestlers who qualified to compete in this national dual tournament – Kohner “Chaka” Schipman, Straud Sims, Trooper Stiles, and Lane Spencer.
