    As I write this morning, from the nursing department the weather has warmed. We are doing well the colds, flu, and pneumonia have made the rounds but not in an epidemic fashion. Our census is 49. We are expecting two additional residents this month. The nursing department is fully staffed with six registered nurses, seven licensed practical nurses, four med techs, one restorative aide and thirty-one certified nurse’s assistants.     From the desk at Hi Line Retirement Center: On this very hot Tuesday morning, I am going to give you an update on the nursing home. We are a licensed 52 bed facility, and today’s census in skilled nursing is 48. We are full with 14 in assisted living, and 4 in independent apartments. I’m Barb Dunbar Director of Nursing; we just finished our second certified nursing assistant class. We have successfully graduated 11 nursing assistants from the two classes.
