    The Penguins recently saw action at Lewistown on Tuesday, September 10, and in Poplar on Saturday, September 21, both new meets for Sophomore Hannah Hanley. At Lewistown, she finished in 29.31 with mile splits of 9.30. Hannah placed as the 15th Class C runner. Lewistown is an excellent course that provides runners a look at their state competition this fall. In the Poplar meet, Hannah rocked a 24.50 with mile splits of 8.01. This is a season-best for her.     The Dodson/Whitewater Harriers fared well at the ever tough Havre meet on Saturday, September 22. "They did awesome," Harriers Coach Bruce Warren said. "We are feeling good about qualifying most of our team for state. We just wish we had all of our team, so we could have team scores, but that will come."     With only one runner having state meet experience, the young Harrier team performed well at the 52nd Annual All-Class State Cross-Country Meet in Great Falls on October 24. For the men, Freshman Tyrese Messerly placed 89th with a time of 20.40, and Sophomore Jasper Doney placed 127th with a time of 23.42. A total of 143 young men completed the race.     The Dodson Invitational hosted by the Dodson-Whitewater Harriers was held last Thursday at the Dodson Fairgrounds. The Malta M-ettes and Dodson Harriers were the only full teams present. The overall winner of the Girl's Varsity 3 mile race was Malta's Mystic Striker who ran the course held at the Dodson Fairgrounds in 20:09.     The Harrier season started on August 30, at the Poplar Invite. Senior Jeret Warren was the lone runner. Jeret placed 8th with a time of 18.34. Jeret already has his eye on State in October.
