    2-14. We learned that not all insects fly. In one of our books we found two vertebrates (duck and frog) and one invertebrate (dragonfly). We talked about earthworms and spiders. Linden and I have a big spider in our porch. None of our earthworms wanted to come out. We looked for bugs. Andi found a wasp. Linden found a fly. We wrote what was the same about our bugs, and what was different. Andi found the wasp in the garbage can, so apparently wasps like garbage. The fly tried to escape. I think vertebrae are shaped like some kind of airplanes....

    1-11. During science, we took out our science sheets. We got new bug family trees. One was hard to follow, the other two were easy. Then, we looked at our ladybugs. There were some exoskeletons. There were ladybug larvae crawling around. There was paper and food. Last, we looked at maggots. A lot of them were pupae. We had a short science. 10-8. During Science, Zora, Linden and I tried to start a fire on ash and sugar cubes. The wind was going so it didn't work very well. But we...
