    The Dodson Lady Coyotes and North Country Lady Mavericks squared off in Dodson last Friday, January 20, in the Coyote Den. The Lady Mavericks won 63-26 against a Dodson team that fought until the last buzzer. Paige Wasson led the Lady Mavericks in the win with 24 points, eight rebounds, three steals, and two assists.     Surrounded by his family, Malta High School senior Elijah "Eli" Hanson, a Mustang football standout last fall, revealed that he will continue his football career as a member of the Dickinson State University Blue Hawks. Hanson's decision was made official on Wednesday, January 20, as the senior signed with the school alongside his father Yurii Hanson, mother Kerry Hanson, and his sisters Ava and Etta in the foyer of Malta High School.     The Malta Mustangs basketball team went 1-1 last week against division opponents. The Mustangs handily defeated the Harlem Wildcats 82-49 in Harlem on Thursday, January 19, but fell 65-51 to the undefeated Wolf Point Wolves on Saturday, January 21, in Malta.     The Malta M-ettes basketball team posted a pair of solid wins over District 2B opponents last week. The M-ettes defeated the Harlem Wildcats 70-26 in Harlem on Thursday, January 19. Then the team hosted the Wolf Point Lady Wolves and won 61-36.
