The Malta City Council unanimously voted to increase the sewer rates in Malta by $4.50 per month, the first sewer rate increase since 2006 when it was raised $6, to help pay back a loan secured to pay for repairs at the Legg Lift Station. The school served a very good dinner for the community on November 14 from 11:00 to 1:00. It was all very delicious and teachers, students from certain classes and other older students helped and served the senior citizens and other grown-ups who attended. The Malta Middle School Jamboree teams performed well in their home event last Saturday, November 16, at the Malta High School Gymnasium and Old Gym. The Malta Eighth Grade Girls' team defeated Wolf Point 36-33 and Poplar 44-26. Before Saturday, Malta had lost to Poplar twice.
