    The 3C District runner-up North Country Mavericks will play in the second game of the 2018 Eastern C Boys' Division Basketball Tournament against the Savage Warriors on Wednesday, February 21, at 4 p.m. in Wolf Point.     The Malta Mustangs were able to retain their status as District 2B Champions, defeating the Poplar Indians 55-41 in the 2018 District 2B Championship last Saturday, February 17, at Wolf Point High School. The Mustangs were able to make it to the championship game by defeating the Wolf Point Wolves 59-38 on Friday, February 16.     The Malta M-ettes did what they needed to do to make it to the Northern B Divisional by defeating the rival Lady Scotties in the District 2B play-in game on Thursday, February 15.     The season is over for the Dodson Coyotes, after posting an 11-11 season, and making the 3C district semi-finals last weekend in Glasgow. “They didn’t go down without a fight,” Dodson Head Coach Frank Benson said.     The season ended for the Dodson Lady Coyotes as the team lost 57-39 to the Lustre Lady Lions in the semi-final round of consolation games in the 3C District Tournament in Wolf Point.
