  • MHS Jazz Combo: Night at Jazz Club – Concert #48

    Mark Foss, PCN Staff|Feb 23, 2022

A great time was had by all those who attended the Malta High School Jazz Combo concert last Tuesday night, February 15. Over the short period of time that I have been covering the band/choir concerts, I have come to expect the unexpected. Especially from the band director, Mr. Eric Engebretson. He seems to come up with some very creative things to do for the band. So when the house lights went down and the stage lights came up, the only band members on the stage were Krista Meisdalen at the...

    Eldora Henry, PCN Correspondent|Feb 23, 2022

We could not get away with out at least one more cold blast and a little more snow from old man winter, so Sunday and Monday were nasty again and very cold. February is the month that the bald eagles and geese return north! I admit I’ve seen eagles all winter, this year but I suspect it might have been injured. On the trip to Billings I saw several bald eagles and a few ravens! Loring Women's Club met at the Stordahl home on Wednesday with five ladies in attendance. Under discussion was the farewell for Tina and Charles Russell and we are to be thinking about what we want to do for the HLRC residents for Easter. The Blunts spent the weekend at t...

  • Cannabis is a gift from God

    Feb 23, 2022

Dear Editor, I wanted to take a moment and thank Todd and Brenda at The Loaded Toad for all their help in getting me the medicine I need. I have been treating my own throat cancer because I refuse to go the traditional mainstream medical establishment route of destroying my immune system to kill the cancer cells. The odds are not in my favor and so I decided to go a more natural, God-given route for my treatment and use cannabis. I had read about all the anecdotal evidence that suggests that cannabis can kill cancer and found information about...

  • Two very different Montanas

    Parker Heinlein, Outdoors Columnist|Feb 23, 2022

There are two very different Montanas. One is booming economically with skyrocketing home prices as newcomers flock there to get a piece of the Big Sky. It’s the Montana that’s pictured in magazines and on the big screen. The other is where I live, the Montana folks are leaving or stuck in with few job prospects and only distant mountains or bad lands on the horizon. I couldn’t be happier with my choice. When Barb and I left Bozeman 16 years ago and moved to Malta we jokingly told people that...
