The Malta Lutheran Church Women of ELCA began Quilting January 18 through March 22, 2016. Quilters met in the church basement on Monday afternoons and Tuesdays 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Our women completed 27 polyester quilts. On November 6th, 34 quilts were placed on the pews and were blessed by Pastor Bob Nagy. In June, two quilts were given to a family who lost their house to a fire in Zortman. Wednesday, February 22 the Veseth Cattle Company of Malta held their 10th annual Bull Sale at the Pavilion. Dale and Janet Veseth wanted to do something special in appreciation to their customers. Veseth Cattle Co. and co-sponsor Lewistown Honda raffled off a new 425cc Honda 4x4 ATV. A second prize of $500 in “Bull Dollars” was awarded and taken off of purchases.
