Al Kroll, local Veteran, neighbor, friend, uncle and grandpa, celebrated Sunday in style. He turned 92 with family, friends and a warm and friendly group at the monthly jam session at the VFW. Gordon F. Pippin was born in Saco, Mont., on Oct. 4, 1934, to Fred and Wilma Pippin. He passed away peacefully at his home in Springfield, Ore., on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023. Cremation has taken place. A graveside celebration of life will be held at Grandview Cemetery in Saco at a later date. We have had several little storms so we are back to normal----deep snow and little ground showing. Only one week to daylight savings time and one more week to the first day of spring.
