Lloyd Frank "Crickett" Crowder, age 58, passed away on March 2, 2023, at Big Sandy Medical Center from cancer. Crickett was born May 21, 1964, to Allan J. and Rhoda (French) Crowder. He was the seventh of nine children. Crickett attended school in Malta, graduating from Malta High School in 1983. Crickett had numerous jobs in his lifetime, working at MOI, as a custodian at the Tin Cup, Malta Tire, and Malta Schools. We are Number 1, Whitewater Penguins/ Mavericks, and Saco/Hinsdale Girls Basketball team are number one in the state. Wonderful and congratulations to all participants in all the tournament teams. Happy Spring equinox! I spent the weekend in Billings, and I really felt like spring was on the way! There was very little snow to be found. But up here it’s a total white landscape! If we get a slow melt, the water should soak in and provide enough soil moisture to grow the crops! If it melts quickly the ponds would get filled which we need also! Over 1,000 AAU Wrestlers from around the state of Montana wrestled at the Montana 2023 AAU State Wrestling Tournament at MetraPark at First Interstate Arena in Billings last weekend. The Mustang Wrestling Club Boys and Girls teams were well represented with 23 boys and four girls competing. The boys were 18th out of 142 teams, and the girls were 86th.
