Ag Day was back in Malta on Friday, March 25, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., after a two-year break due to you know what, and judging by the attendance, it was missed! The members of the Malta Fire Department were cooking hamburgers, fish sandwiches, baked beans, and drinks at the fire station for a freewill donation. They also had some of their new purchases out on tables for people to see what their money/donations are going towards. (Personal note, the Flir thermal guns are really fun to look...

  • I don't want you to be disappointed

    Parker Heinlein, Outdoors Columnist|Mar 30, 2022

I recently read that Kalispell is the fastest-growing town of its size in the nation. Bozeman isn’t far behind in third place. Apparently both towns offer what newcomers are looking for: mountainous vistas, fast-flowing streams, and every retail shopping and dining opportunity available. But now an even more ominous trend is beginning to creep across the sprawling Big Sky landscape: folks are leaving those over-crowded hot spots and moving to the ‘burbs, in this case eastern Montana. Could Glend...

Sharon Kindle, Patriotic Chair, VFW Post 4067|Mar 30, 2022

The Vietnam War ended March 25, 1975, however, it lingers in so many peoples' minds as a bitter lonely experience and with little for support and respect for our soldiers upon returning back to U. S. soils. The Gulf of Tonkin, a much debated item with varying stories, was also known as the USS Maddox incident and is said to have marked the formal entry of the U.S. into the Vietnam War. One billion dollars was spent on the war by the U.S. alone. In 1982, the awesome Vietnam Memorial Wall was...
