On the television news this morning, I watched a woman jump into a tiger enclosure in a zoo to retrieve her hat. Yesterday on Facebook, I saw a video of a woman petting a bison in Yellowstone Park. Well, the time is finally here! I have begun packing my things into boxes again, something that seems to happen often. I have been writing a column for Phillips County News for the better part of a year now. The experience I have been most excited for is on the doorstep. I start my summer internship next Wednesday. I’m starting to see why people love sit down mowers. The older I get, the harder it is getting to stay motivated to walk behind my mower. It typically takes me about an hour to mow my lawn. I also found out that it took me nearly as long to mow my yard with my neighbor’s sit down mower. Though the times weren’t very different, sitting on that riding mower made me feel like I was mowing in a luxury vehicle. Angela Kay O'Neil, 55, of Malta passed away on April 22, 2016, at Billings Health and Rehabilitation after a short illness. Last week we had some record high temps, but as I write this the rain has been falling for six hours interspersed with snow, sleet and snow balls! We are so thankful for the moisture! A large number of relatives and friends attended the funeral for Alice Dolphay at the Dodson School on Friday. The Catholic Ladies and the Lutheran Ladies served a reception after the service in the School Cafeteria. Thanks to everyone who helped. It stayed nice the whole day.
