    On the evening of Sunday, April 28, 2019, at a little after 10 p.m., an off-duty Phillips County Sheriff’s Deputy and his father were fishing near Cree Crossing. An unidentified pickup drove to the area, shined what appeared to be a predator light at both the Deputy and his father, and then fired two shots into the water near the men.     The Dodson, Saco, and Whitewater track teams were present at the Malta Athletic Track Meet on Tuesday, April 23, at Mustang Field in Malta. The Whitewater Lady Penguins placed the highest among the District 3C teams taking fourth place with a total of 46 points in the womens’ meet.
